Things aren't looking good for Mekhi Phifer. The Divergent actor filed for bankruptcy late last month and is about $1.3 million in debt, TMZ reports.
The $1.3 million is reportedly broken down into $1.2 million in back taxes, $50,000 in legal bills, and $4,500 in child support. (The star, 39, shares son Omikaye, 15, with ex-wife Malinda Williams and son Mekhi Thira Phifer Jr., 6, with ex Oni Souratha.)

Phifer's assets, meanwhile, are roughly worth just $67,000, and include a leather bed, firearms (including 1 shotgun and 2 9mm pistols), and a Segway worth $1,500. (A bed made with a leather headboard can be worth as much as $3,000.)
Phifer tied the knot with fiancee Reshelet Barnes in Beverly Hills back in April 2013. He's appeared in films O, 8 Mile, Honey, and recently played Max in the blockbuster hit Divergent. He's set to reprise his role in its sequel, Insurgent, in 2015.
